I Need An Extreme Home Makeover

I mentioned the other day in my Dirty Little Feet post that Brian’s to-do list for while the rest of us are off on vacation this weekend seems to be growing. We’re only going to be gone for four days, one of which he has to work, and even though he does remind me sometimes of Superman, he really isn’t. I just keep thinking about everything that needs to get done around our house, and how there is no time in which to do it. And when I think of one thing, it leads to several other things that need to be done before that one thing can get done. It is all so overwhelming at times.

First things first, we really need to get the “playroom” out of our front room. Our front room/dining room area used to be the prettiest room in the house, and now there are toys covering every square inch of the carpet!

This is the "playroom" in it's clean state.

We have a huge game room upstairs that we are going to turn in to the playroom. The problem is that right now there is a pool table, computer desk and futon up there, so there just isn’t room for anything else. We need to sell the pool table, and move the computer desk and the futon downstairs, so we can move all the toys upstairs. I would like to put a TV up there, and a few of those huge bean bags, so that the kids can hang out and watch their movies in the play room.

If you happen to know of anyone in or around the Orlando area who is looking for a nice pool table, there’s a finder’s fee in it for you!

If by some miracle we ever find a buyer for the pool table, in order to move the computer desk and the futon downstairs, first we need to move Bryce’s room upstairs, which means we need to clean out the other bedroom upstairs before that. The upstairs bedroom next to Rylie’s is a guest bedroom/all things baby storage room. All of the baby crap that my kids no longer need is stuffed in that room. In order to clean that out, we need to have some type of yard sale or figure out some way to get rid of everything in there, and I just don’t want to deal with any of that. See what I mean? One project leads to another, and another, and another...

As you can see, in order to cross one task off of our to-do list, we need to cross several off before that. Since we have limited time to do major household projects, it is going to take forever! I would love to have one of those TV shows come in and just do it all in a week! I would also allow them to give me some new flooring and furniture too while they’re at it!

This was a sponsored post.

Sooo... how much do you want for the pool table? Although in order for me to acquire it, I have to move, which is currently on our summer agenda. Maybe I should finish my own shifting around before I help you with yours? ;)

I know the feeling with so many chores to get checked off the list. It looms over your head..

I had no idea you lived in Florida and not too far from me. Depending on where in the Orlando area you are! :)

Ah...the joys of homeownership!! The American dream...LOL! All we do is work and take care of our homes. The homes that are in constant need of fixing and cleaning and re-arranging :) It wil all get done in time. Don't stress, Superman will eventually get it done :)

Sigh. Mommy has a similar list of things for our house - and the lack of funds and time to do anything about it!

LOL... so much like our house! The big, brightly-colored plastic take-over! Best wishes with your makeover plan :)

Hubs and I are having a debate right now....pool table in the dining room or a dining room table in the dining room. Obviously - I want a table. If he were to win this argument, I'm sure he would love to buy that pool table from you! I keep telling him that we can have one when the kids are grown up and no longer need a playroom. I would benefit from a Home Makeover too!
