How many of you take tons of pictures only to download them to your computer and only look at them again when you post them on your blog or Facebook? Well that's me. I am horrible about making prints of our pictures. If it weren't for social networking sites, I would probably never see the pictures I take. Thanks to PhotoJewelryMaking.com, I can turn pictures into jewelry and look at them whenever I want to.

I was given the opportunity to review an Instant Domed Photo Jewelry Pendant from PhotoJewelryMaking.com. I will start by saying that I am so glad I was given this opportunity, and the necklace that I made means a lot to me. You will see why...
The Instant Domed Photo Jewelry Pendant Kit comes with everything you need to make your necklace. It includes one round silver photo pendant tray with a 27mm photo area and bail, ball chain necklace, EZ Resizer software cd, one glass domed circle cover, super glue and photo paper, and Instant Seal-itz strip to attach glass to pendant.
When I first took the kit out of the package I instantly thought that it was going to be a complicated and time consuming process to make my necklace. Boy was I wrong. It was so easy to make, and didn't take long at all.
When I first received the kit, I had planned to make my mom a necklace with the kids' pictures in it and give it to her for Mother's Day. Well as most of you know, my dad passed away a few weeks ago and it has been extremely hard for all of us. I decided to put a treasured photo of my mom and dad together in this necklace. It is a photo of them dancing at my wedding. They both looked so nice all dressed up!
Like I said, making the necklace was so easy! I followed the directions that were included in the package and within 15 minutes my beautiful necklace was complete. The first step was to load the photo resizing software. I then selected the shape and dimension needed for my piece of jewelry, and the paper size, and then selected my photo. The image opened into EZ-Crop mode where I just clicked and dragged my mouse to select the desired area. There is a "ratio" feature to ensure the photo is the correct size. You can add text if you like, but I chose not to. Once I had my photo properly cropped, it created a PDF file which I printed on the photo paper.
Once I had my printed picture, I removed the backing from the Seal-Itz strip, pressed it over the photo, and then peeled back the cover to expose the adhesive. This is when it got tricky. I was getting ready to place the glass piece over the adhesive when it slipped out of my hand and landed halfway on the picture. I almost started crying because I was afraid I had ruined it. Luckily I was able to pull it off quickly without much damage being done. My husband ended up placing the dome on for me, because I was too afraid that would happen again. Once the dome was correctly in place, I cut around the dome to remove the excess paper, and placed it in the pendant tray with a little bit of super glue.
And here is my finished product...
The picture really doesn't do it justice. It was hard to get a clear picture because of the flash and the glare it caused on the glass dome.
I absolutely LOVE this necklace, and my mom did too!
Like I said earlier, this review means a lot to me, and I am so glad I was able to make this keepsake for my mom. She can wear this necklace and it will bring her memories of a happy time.
I highly recommend PhotoJewelryMaking.com, and this Instant Domed Photo Jewelry Pendant Kit. It was very easy to make and turned out beautiful! You can purchase the kit for $17.99.
