Welcome to the first installment of Tell Us Something Good! I'm so glad you're here. Every Tuesday, my friend Andrea from Angelica's Awesome Adventures and I will be sharing something good with you. We hope that you will share something good with us too. So grab the button at the top, tell us something good on your blog, and link up your post at the linky on the bottom.
My "something good" for today is the fact that pool weather is here! We have been reaching near 90 degrees here in sunny Florida, and the best way to beat the heat is in the pool. Swimming makes for cheap and convenient fun for our family. We don't have to get dressed. We don't have to pack up half of our house to go out somewhere. We just throw on our bathing suits and go outside. Yay!
Rylie and Bryce LOVE the pool! Rylie isn't much for going under the water (yet!), but she loves to float around in her little tube. Bryce, on the other hand, is already proving to be quite the little fish. He will walk right off the steps and completely submerge himself. He comes up laughing, too!
I think we'll be getting a swim instructor out here sometime soon for lessons for both of the kids. We had someone come out and give Rylie lessons when she was 20 months old, but she screamed the entire half hour of each lesson, so I don't know how much she really learned. I want my kids to really know how to swim, so they can enjoy the pool and also be safe while they're having fun. This is, after all, how we'll be spending our summers for many years!
These pictures were taken during the kids' first swim of the season. My best friend Melissa kept the kids at her house while we were at my dad's funeral, and they spent most of the day in the pool.
Welcome summer!
OK, now it's your turn. Tell us something good...

This is a great link-up idea! My something good is that I actually got the Girls Easter Pics up before summer was over, LOL!

This is why I miss Florida. We loved swimming. I keep saying West Coast Fl here we come, but we are still here in snow country. Something good though is the weather is finally getting nice and we have been enjoying nightly walks, visits to the park and playing outside! I hope you are doing well!
Stopping by to follow from the hop and inviting you to link up this week with my Wordless Wednesdays hop. Have a great week! http://hisperfectpromises.blogspot.com/
I'm all linked up! That was a breath of fresh air...
I often wonder what we did when we didn't have a pool. I know, we spent hours wandering the air conditioned mall. Having a pool is a must in FL...we swim before bedtime almost every night!
So excited for your fun new linky!! We all need a moment to think about 'something good' in our lives! I am so jealous that it is 90 degrees there...and the fact that you all have a pool!!
I agree that if you have a pool, it's a fantastic source of constant entertainment! We used to have one, but it ended up costing too much so we took it out.
The kids are adorable!
What a great link up!
I'm so jealous that you guys have a pool in your backyard! That's pretty standard down there though, isn't it?
Bryce is such a little cutie in the pool! The idea of him just walking in and totally submerging makes me giggle.
PS - It's going to snow here tomorrow. Wisconsin = ridiculous
i absolutely LOVE this link up!
thank you soooo much for hosting it!
I love playing in the pool with kids. They always have so much fun :)

We really could have used a pool today! It was hot!
Cute swim outfit on Bryce! Gage has the same one! Too bad here, in VA, we haven't got the chance to try it out yet.
