Five Question Friday - April 29th

Happy Friday! And Happy {almost} Birthday to me! Let the festivities begin! Yes, I'm one of those who has a birthday weekend. I used to have a whole birthday week, but when you're as old as I am, you only have the energy to celebrate for two or three days. My birthday is Sunday and I will be 36. That is still "mid-30s", right?

We have a super fun weekend planned. First I'll have my little work party today. My friend Dee and I always bring each other cakes for our birthdays, and of course I'm really looking forward to that. (Good thing I haven't started my Nutrisystem diet just yet!) Tomorrow we're heading to Busch Gardens to hang out with my good friend Carol and her family. This will be Bryce's first visit to a theme park! After our day at the park we're going to go to St. Pete to spend the night with my BFF Melissa. On Sunday we'll head over to my mom's and then meet up with my brother and my other BFF Rebecca for my birthday dinner. I'm sure we're going to be exhausted by the time we get home Sunday night, but it will be sooooo worth it. We need a weekend of fun!

So what is everyone else up to this weekend? I hope it is a great one for you!

Now for some Friday blogging fun! If you would like to play along with 5QF, head over to My Little Life and link up!

1. If you could buy any car, money not an option, what would it be?

Well I love my Nissan Armada, and honestly I don't really care to drive anything else. BUT, if money were no option, I would get the Bugatti Veyron for my husband. I guess I could drive it a couple of times just for fun. Who wouldn't want to zoom around in a car at over 260mph that is worth over 2.6 million dollars?

2. What was your worst first date ever?

I don't even remember the guy's name, that's how bad it was. I used to work at a restaurant that had a night club in it, and every night was a different theme. Thursday nights were 70s night and one of the DJs from the "oldies" station was the host. I got to be pretty good friends with him and his wife. One night one of their friends was there and I mentioned that he was cute, and the next thing I knew, the DJ set up a date for us. The guy was just a dork. He was not interesting at all, and he came on way too strong. We went to the Melting Pot for dinner, and you know how time consuming a dinner there is. UGH. It felt like it went on forever. When we got back to my apartment I told him that I had to go meet up with my brother or something just to get him to leave. Needless to say, I never talked to him again.

3. How old were you when you fell in love for the first time?

Well, I thought I was in love when I was 16 and dating my first boyfriend, but what did I know? I think I fell in "real" love for the first time when I was like 23. How do I know it was real love? Because when it didn't work out between us, I was absolutely devastated. I had never felt that way before.

4. When was the last time you reconciled your checkbook?

It has been years. Funny thing...even though I am an accountant, my husband takes care of all of the finances in the house. He keeps track of all the money. I just spend it!

5. If you were going to fashion a "Wanted" Ad for a best friend, how would you word it?

Wanted: A best friend. She must be honest and loyal, and willing to drop everything at a moment's notice to help me when I really need her. Would prefer someone who loves to shop, get pedicures and drink coffee. She must love kids, or at least my kids. Serious inquiries only. I don't play games and I won't deal with drama.

Don't forget to stop back by after 10PM EST tonight for my Weekend Win It giveaway linky, where you will find some great giveaways to enter, and you can also promote yours! You are TOTALLY in your mid 30s. The way I see it, early 30s are 30-33, mid 30s are 34-37. So you've even got a year left! LOL

Your weekend sounds AWESOME!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful birthday!! :o)

how did I not know you were an accountant?? I never finished my degree so I'm just a bookkeeper/office manager but while I do 'handle' out family finances I'm sooo lazy about it. Mostly because its depressing. If we had money I THINK I'd do better.

I'll have to try and join in on this next week! Thanks for sharing :-) Oh, and my husband's grandfather took care of all the household finances too! My pop-pop was pretty good with balancing his checkbook, he's the one who taught me how to do it !

My birthday was Monday and we started celebrating when we left for a camping trip to St. Augustine on Friday. The week days this year will be pretty mellow, but this weekend will be fun filled as well since my husband is sharing his birthday with Mother's Day this year. :D
