Moon Dough Magic Zoo {Review}

Have you heard of Moon Dough yet? Moon Dough is the magical molding dough that never dries out! It is soft and marshmallow-like and cleans up easily. It is also hypo-allergenic and wheat free. It comes in super fun playsets that not only let kids create with their hands, they also spark their imaginations! We recently received the Moon Dough Magic Zoo for review.

Moon Dough Magic Zoo

Rylie received the Moon Dough Ice Cream set for Christmas, so we were already familiar with Moon Dough. However, I hadn't gotten a chance to play with it with her yet since she was always playing with it with her dad, so I was excited to try out the new set. "Marshmallow-like" is really the best way to describe it, except that it is not sticky at all. It is very light and fluffy and easy for little hands to mold.

Molding dough is always fun, but the Moon Dough Magic Zoo takes it to a whole new level of fun! This interactive play set actually makes the animals come to life. When they come out of their molds, they walk across the table! It is really easy to use, too. You simply add the dough to the mold, hook it to the top of the zoo, turn the handle to bring the mold down onto the feet, and out walks either a gorilla, a bear or a penguin.

The kids loved watching the zoo animals come to life!

The best way to show you how this awesome play set works is with a video...

Rylie was not a big fan of the Flip cam that night, hence the lack of smiling and looking at the camera. But I can assure you that she loves it. I really like how she really made the animals come to life by pretending they were lining up and going through a door. She has such a great imagination, and these types of play sets are wonderful for her.

Bryce also had a great time with the Moon Dough Magic Zoo! He loved squishing the dough. He was so funny and always acted scared when the zoo animal first came out, but then he wanted us to make more.

The Moon Dough Magic Zoo was a huge hit with my kids! Rylie has asked to play with it several times since we first used it. The dough is still just as fluffy as it was when we opened it.

Edited to add: The Moon Dough does crumble easily, but it also squishes back together just as easy. I would recommend using this on a table so that the pieces do not get into carpet. We haven't had an issue with that, so I can't say how well that would clean up.

I think Moon Dough is awesome, and I highly recommend it for your creative, imaginative kids! It can be purchased at mass retailers, specialty stores and online at sites such as Amazon for around $19.99.

Disclosure: This is my honest opinion. I received the Moon Dough Magic Zoo at no cost for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received.

I have heard of Moon Dough but have not tried it yet. Sounds amazing if it does not dry out. It still looks like it crumbles.

You have cute little ones and I loved each of their reactions. :-)

my 3 year old wants this. he doesn't know i gave away the barn. i like the moon dough but we just don't have room for the stuff and without the stuff it isn't nearly as much fun.

This looks like something my son would love. How cool that the animal comes walking out of the barn. Nice touch. And the videos were great -- really helped show it off.
