Stroller Blanket By SwaddleDesigns {Review & Giveaway}

When Rylie was around four months old, she had an ear infection that would not go away. One of the suggestions by the pediatrician was to do away with pacifiers. We wanted to give her something to replace the pacifier, so we bought her a security blanket and it worked! We were able to quit the pacifier cold turkey. Her security blanket became known as her "buppy", and to this day, she still sleeps with it. We have four of them so that there is always at least one clean.

Bryce liked the pacifier too, and when he was around six months old we began to wean him off of it. Since the buppy worked so well for Rylie, we decided to give it a try with Bryce. That is when I found out about SwaddleDesigns. I checked out their Baby Lovie section, and immediately purchased what is now known as Bryce's buppy. If you read this blog regularly, then you have probably seen several pictures with the buppy, since he is attached to his just as Rylie is to hers.

It was even in his school pictures a few months ago!

Bryce loves his buppy! He sleeps with it every night, and for every nap. It is super soft fuzzy, with a satin edge. Babies love the feel of both materials! I recently contacted SwaddleDesigns to let them know how much we loved Bryce's buppy (we have four for him also), and they offered to send me one of their stroller blankets for review. Of course we had to select the same design as his buppy.

Bryce loves the stroller blanket just as much as he loves his buppy! Can you guess what Rylie calls it? She calls it "Bryce's really big buppy!" This blanket is very soft, and keeps him warm. It can be used in the stroller for walks on cool nights, or as a regular blanket if the house is a little chilly. It measures 40 by 30 inches, so it is a nice large blanket. It is machine washable, which is very important in our house!

SwaddleDesigns was founded by an RN in 2002, when she noticed that people were struggling to swaddle their babies. The blankets were either too small or too thick, and the families could not remember how to make a good, secure swaddle. She developed the Ultimate Swaddling Blanket, which was a large and square blanket, with instructions sewn to the edge of the blanket.

Over the past several years, SwaddleDesigns product line has grown significantly. Along with the products I mentioned here, they also make baby apparel, towels and washcloths, and even an adult swaddle wrap!
