How Many Have You Seen? {Movies On Demand Giveaway}

It's funny how many small things in life you take for granted before you have kids. Take going to the movies, for example. Before we had kids, if we saw a movie preview that looked good, we just went and saw it. We would usually have dinner before the movie and make a night out of it. Now that we have kids, that has all changed.

These days, if we want to go see a movie rated higher than G, first we have to find a babysitter. We do get free babysitting often from my parents, but if they aren't available, we have a few trusted babysitters that we use. Unfortunately, those trusted babysitters aren't free. So that just adds to the already high cost of going out to the movies. A night out to the movies can end up costing close to $100!

Fortunately for us, we have cable TV, which means we have Movies on Demand! Movies on Demand is like a movie store in your living room. You don't even have to leave your house to get your movie. You don't have to wait at all. You just use your remote control to instantly rent a movie. What I really like about watching movies with Movies on Demand is the fact that we can pause, rewind and fast forward. We always wait until the kids go to bed before we start our movie, but it never fails that someone wakes up needing something. With Movies On Demand, our kids get the attention they need, and we don't have to miss any of the movie!

If you watch any TV, then you probably already know that the Academy Awards will be presented on February 27th. Millions of movie lovers will tune in to find out who wins these coveted awards. I have to admit that the only nominated movie I have seen is "Toy Story 3". That is one of Rylie's favorite movies! I definitely want to watch some of the other nominees such as "The Social Network", "Inception" and "The Kids Are All Right". All of these movies are available On Demand, so hopefully I will be able to watch a couple of these before the awards show next Sunday. There are more award nominees available On Demand, along with nominated short films. How many have you seen?
