Welcome to the first Saturday Playdate of 2011! Today we're playing with Carrie from Carrie with Children. I have gotten to know Carrie from my Wordless Wednesday linky...where I always look forward to seeing pictures of her two adorable little girls. Maggie and Molly are 20 months apart, just like Rylie and Bryce, so I can definitely relate to Carrie and her busy, although super fun, life. Her blog is full of stories and pictures of her little girls, along with some product reviews and giveaways. Carrie with Children is a cute blog, and I always leave with a smile!
When you're done here, hop on over to Carrie with Children and say hi. Let her know you stopped by from the playdate.
I was so excited when LeeAnn asked me to stop in for this week's Saturday playdate! Although we've never met in person, I love reading her site to see what her cute kiddos have been up to lately. There is a great sense of love and community within this site!
I never imagined that being a stay at home mom would be so demanding....or this much fun! Is it even possible for something to be overwhelming and hectic - but also fun, loving, rewarding and appreciated at the same time?
I'm mom to two-year old Maggie and six-month old Molly (born with Down syndrome). My precious girls constantly keep me on the go, whether we are out running errands or just staying at home for the day. Even while they are napping (when they actually decide to give in and actually take a nap) there are things that need to be done. When people ask me what it's like to raise girls that are 20 months apart, I always reply with "There is never a dull moment in my house." But, truthfully - I wouldn't want it any other way.
Sure it's hectic and there are times when I'm on the move from the moment I wake up until the moment I fall asleep at night - but I chose this profession. I knew what I was getting myself into and I love it. The times I spend with my girls are so amazing. Who knew that singing the alphabet while grocery shopping could be this fun?! And having to watch Barney three times in a row, isn't so bad if you are snuggling on the couch with your little ones. It's so cliche, but these days won't be around forever. I plan on soaking up every second of it! There is no greater job than being a parent!
What's your favorite thing about being a mom? I'd love for you to stop by my site, Carrie with Children and read more about my adventures as a mom!
Thanks for stopping by for our playdate! I hope you had fun! If you would like to come over for a playdate, let me know in a comment or an email.
