Wet Ones Germ Lab Results {Review & Giveaway}

A couple weeks ago I posted about some fun experiments we did involving germs. If you missed that post, you have to go check it out to see how much fun we had. You can also visit the Wet Ones Healthy Hands Zone Germ Lab to see Bill Nye the Science guy performing the same experiments.

Two of these experiments had to be set up, and then we had to wait to see the results. Unfortunately, one of our experiments was flawed. The "Bread Can Be Food for You, or for Germs" experiment didn't produce any results. If you remember, in this experiment Rylie played in dirt and then touched a slice of bread. She also touched two other slices of bread with clean hands, and then with hands cleaned with a Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand Wipe. We had to put moist paper towels in the bags with the slices of bread, and I think the paper towels were too big. After over a week of sitting in a warm, dark place, the bread was just soggy. There was no mold growing on any of the slices. We're going to try this one again, but next time we'll use smaller pieces of moist paper towels.

The other experiment that we were waiting on results from was the "Grow Your Own Germs" experiment. In this experiment, Rylie touched different surfaces and then touched some gelatin cups. She touched the first cup with clean hands, the second cup after touching the bottom of her shoe, the third cup after touching the car door handle, the fourth cup after touching some rocks outside, and the last cup after wiping her hands with a Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand Wipe. Yuck! I feel like I need to now sanitize my hands after I get in my car each time! I can't believe that there are more germs on the handle of the car door, than on the bottom of a kid's shoe.

As you can see from that experiment, Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand Wipes really do work! They kill 99.99% of germs. They are hypoallergenic and enriched with skin-conditioning Aloe, and they are perfect for quick clean ups. These wipes now have a permanent place in my diaper bag and purse!
