TASSIMO Home Brewing System {Review & Giveaway}

I am a coffee addict. I have two cups every morning, and then usually another cup in the afternoons to get me through the rest of the day at work. Sometimes, though, I want a cup of coffee in the evening. Especially these nights when I'm up late blogging. I usually don't bother, though, because I don't want to deal with the hassle of getting a filter out, measuring the water and the coffee and then brewing a pot just to have one cup. Thanks to TASSIMO, I can now enjoy a cup of coffee whenever I want, hassle free!

TASSIMO is not just another coffee maker. It's a whole new way to prepare a variety of delicious hot drinks, including coffee, cappuccino, latte, crema, tea, espresso and hot chocolate. With the use of patented T DISCs, you can enjoy all of these beverages at home!

Each ingenious TASSIMO T DISC is designed to work exclusively with the TASSIMO system. T DISCs contain a precisely measured amount of coffee, tea, chocolate or concentrated milk creamer. The brewing happens inside the T DISC. Your beverage pours directly from the T DISC into the cup, so you can prepare different drinks one after another. When you insert a T DISC, the brewer reads a unique bar code printed on the label. It then automatically calculates the amount of water needed, brewing time, and temperature to prepare the perfect beverage.

There are over 40 varieties of T DISCs available, from 13 different brands such as Starbucks, TAZO, Gevalia, Milka, Seattle's Best, Maxwell House and more! There is definitely something for everyone.

I received the TASSIMO T20 Home Brewing System in white for review. Along with the brewing system, I also received a Lime Green Color Accessory Kit, a package of the Gevalia Signature Blend T DISCs, and a package of the Starbucks Cappuccino Primo T DISCs.

First we had to fill the tank with water and insert the reusable cleaning disc and run it through 5 times. Then our TASSIMO was ready to use.

I cannot get over how easy this machine is to use! First, you place your cup on the stand, and adjust the height of the stand or remove it altogether, depending on the size of your cup. Then you select a T DISC and insert it into the T DISC holder with the printed side down.

Once the T DISC is in place, close the brewing unit and the machine will read the barcode. Press the start/stop button to start the automatic brewing process. You can customize your drink for a stronger or milder flavor by manually adjusting the amount of water during the brewing process. That is all there is to it! There is no mess to clean up, either. Once your drink is finished, you open the brewing unit and take the T DISC out and dispose of it. The brewer is now ready for the next drink.

The first cup of coffee I made with my TASSIMO brewing system was the Gevalia Signature Blend. I have to say that may very well have been the best cup of coffee I have ever had! In fact, I am enjoying a cup right now while I am writing this. I also tried the Starbucks Cappuccino and that was also delicious.

I decided that my TASSIMO needed a little bit of color, so I inserted the accessory kit. The machine is small enough that it fits perfectly on my limited counter space.

I absolutely LOVE my TASSIMO brewing system, and I highly recommend it to any coffee lover out there! This would make a great Christmas gift for the coffee drinker in your life.
