Sunday Funnies And Other News

I'm tired. And no, I wasn't up blogging all night last night. I was up taking care of Bryce and his puke. Why is it that kids always get sick in their beds? Ugh. He was pretty much covered from head to toe after the first barf. Brian gave him a bath while I changed out the Ultimate Crib Sheet on his bed. (Seriously, if you have a baby and you don't have these, RUN out and get some now!) After we got him all cleaned up, I sat with him for over an hour until I couldn't hold my eyes open any longer and then tagged Brian in. He was able to get him back to sleep in about 15 minutes and then just after we both fell back asleep, we heard him barfing again over the monitor. Rinse, repeat. He went back to sleep pretty easily that time, and then as soon as we all got settled back in bed, one of my dogs barfed. It was just one of those nights. Bryce seems to be feeling better, and he made it through the day puke-free, so hopefully we'll all have a better night tonight.

What's funny about that, you ask? Absolutely nothing. I just felt like sharing.

I do have some funnies for you though...

Bryce has a crush. Yep, his first crush at the age of 14 months.

He LOVES Dora! If he sees Dora, he goes nuts. She can be on TV, on a balloon, or even on his yogurt cups. As soon as he sees her he starts be bopping around and going "Doo Doo Doo Doo". It is so funny. If you ask him if he wants to watch TV he starts dancing around going "Doo Doo Doo Doo". When we were at the doctor's office last week the kids were playing and not really paying much attention to the TV that is in the waiting room. All of the sudden Bryce started squealing and dancing and I looked up and saw Dora. Everyone in the waiting room was cracking up.

You want to know what else Bryce loves? FOOD! We came home from school one day last week and Brian had made fish sticks. When we walked in the house Bryce smelled the food and started going "mmmmmmmm" and signing "more". It was hilarious. Last night when Mama and Papa were visiting, we ordered pizza and Papa got some and sat down to eat. Bryce RAN over to him and started signing "more". He was hitting his little fingers together so hard, I'm surprised they aren't bruised.

Rylie makes us laugh on a daily basis with her antics, and I really need to start writing down more of the things she says and does, since I can't really think of anything right now. She's always telling us about the "school-agers" at her school (the older kids that come before and after school), and she'll tell us about things she is going to do when she is a "school-ager". She wants to know everyone's name, too. If we are at a store, she will ask every person she sees what their name is. Most of the people tell her and then ask her what her name is and she thinks that is just great!

In other news...

Bryce knows his eyes, ears, mouth, nose, belly and feet. I guess this could be part of the funnies too, since he sticks his finger in his mouth when you ask him where it is, and then jams it up his nose when you ask where that is. I'm going to have to get it on video one of these days. I just love when you ask a little one where their belly is and they pull their shirt up. It is so cute!

Oh, and we managed to get the outside of the house decorated this weekend. Well, by "we", I mean Brian. All the lights are up, along with the gigantic Santa, the huge snow globe, the snow man and woman, the spiral tree and the deer. It is just a regular winter wonderland out there. And it feels like one too, since the temperature is on a steady decline right now. It is supposed to get to freezing temperatures this week. Brrrrrr!

I hope everyone has a great week!

What an eventful weekend, both good and bad. Glad to hear Bryce is feeling better. And Rylie is just too cute. Here's the beginning of her wanting to be older! First its the "school-agers" next is the teenagers, etc. Oooh, and I want to see Christmas decor pictures!!

Have a good week!

Yes, puking is the WORST! I hate it! At least now, when my girls get sick, during the day, they are old enough to aim for a bucket or something!

So cute about Dora, when Diego first came out, my oldest daughter had a toddler crush on him, adorable!

Man, all that puking, I would have been puking!

Chloe still jams her finger up her nose when you ask "where's your nose?" Or, when i say "hush, the baby is sleeping." It's hilarious every time. In fact, I think I did post a pic of that! LOL
