Snapware {Review & Giveaway}

I am constantly looking for storage solutions and ways to declutter my house. Now that I have kids, I need these items even more! I can now solve all of my storage problems with one brand, and that brand is Snapware. From food and home storage containers to the garage and beyond, Snapware has a container that will help you store, serve or transport your perishable and household items.

Snapware specializes in storage and organization solutions for the home and kitchen (dry and wet foods, crafts, seasonal storage, industrial, pet, garage, closet, and more). They listen to their customers' needs and design products to fit them. Snapware was established in 1994 and began with one product line - the Airtight Canister. The company's storage brands now include Snap 'N Stack®, Smart Store®, Airtight, GlassLock® and Airtight Canisters.

I was given the opportunity to review two great products from Snapware - the 23.0 cup Jumbo cereal container with Fliptop lid and the 10 Piece Airtight Canister set.

One of the first features that impressed me is the fact that all Snapware products are BPA free. There has been a lot of news lately about the harmful effects of BPA, so I try to make sure that any food storage containers we use do not contain it. Snapware containers are food-safe and FDA approved. Their products are also made in the USA.

My kids like cereal. In fact, Cheerios are Bryce's favorite snack. The thing is that the kids don't eat a lot at once, so it takes a while to empty a box. Once the bag inside the box is opened, I never really feel like it is sealed up well. Half of the time I rip the bag when I'm trying to open it, so I can't even fold it over to store it. When I was looking through all of the many great Snapware products, I knew the Cereal Container would be something we could definitely use.

The Cereal Container is part of their Airtight product line. Both the lids and vessels are made of polypropylene (PP) and the seals are made of silicone. It is microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe.

I really like this container! I like the silicone seals and the latches all around the lid. I can easily tell that when it is closed, it is airtight. It easily fit a regular sized box of cereal and had plenty of room left. The only thing I don't 100% love about it, is that the flip top opening is rather large. I haven't spilled any cereal out of it, but I do have to tip it to the side a little bit to avoid that. The good thing about the large opening, though, is that if you have something other than cereal in it that you need to get out with your hand, it is easy to do so, without having to remove the whole lid.

The other great Snapware product I received was the 10 Piece Airtight Canister Set. It includes (1) 15.9 cup canister, (2) 11.1 cup canisters and (2) 4.4 cup canisters. It also includes 3 bonus measuring cups.

The Airtight Canisters are made from polyethylene teraphthalate (PET). The lids are made from polypropylene, and the gasket seals are made of sanoprene. The Airtight Canisters keep dry food fresh, and have an easy-open lid.

The seal on these containers is also a great airtight seal. The lids pop open and the openings are large enough to get your hand in to get out whatever it is you have inside them. We used the the large 15.9 cup container for the dogs' bones. Before I had this container, I had the bag of bones clipped together with a binder clip and it was always a pain to get them out. Now I just pop the top and give my dogs a treat.
