Not-So-Wordless Wednesday: In Remembrance {Linky}

Grandpa
January 30, 1920 - December 22, 2009

Today I'm remembering my grandpa. He left us one year ago, just 5 days before he was supposed to meet Bryce for the first time. While it breaks my heart that he never got the chance to meet his great-grandson, this is not meant to be a sad post. This is a day for me to remember all the great times we had together and what a wonderful grandpa he was to me, and to all of his grandchildren. I have so many great memories of my grandpa, and he was the best grandpa I could have ever asked for. I miss him dearly and he will always be in my heart.

I want to see your Wordless (or Wordful) Wednesday posts! Link up below! And for more Wordless Wednesday fun, check out The Florida Hogans, Angelica's Awesome Adventures and Shibley Smiles. Happy WW!

Those pictures you shared are great. The last one got me choked up.

I am sorry he never got to meet Bryce.
It is nice to take comfort that he is watching over all of you and with you always.

((hugs))

Aww, so sorry to see that, but it's wonderful you have so many fond memories. Both my sets of grandparents are overseas and I have been getting a little sad lately thinking how little I get to see them - and how they only see Lily through pictures. OK, happy thoughts now! I hope you all have a very wonderful Christmas this year!

What a great dedication post to your Grandpa :) I am sure you miss him so much. He is adorable...that a tan on the little old man :) I know that he looks down and sees Bryce and is so proud of you as a mom. I lost my grandma in December too. It stinks being so close to the holidays :( But, on a lighter note, you better get that wrapping done missy. Only 3 days left :)

What beautiful wonderful pictures!! I have to say that I'm a bit jealous - all of my grandparents had passed away before I even graduated high school! I'm so glad that you got to enjoy your grandpa longer and that Rylie will have this wonderful pictures to look back on later when she wants to know more about him :o)

Thanks for sharing girl. I know how tough it is to lose someone and not having them meet your child. I know Rick would have loved playing with Ericka.
