15 Months

Bryce is 15 months old! I can't believe my "baby" is a full-fledged toddler already! I also can't believe we're starting another round of the terrible twos already, either!

He had his 15 month visit at the pediatrician last week and got a great report. He was just under the 50th percentile in both weight (23lbs 4oz) and height (30.75"). Of course his head is still up there in the 95th percentile. The doctor was gushing over him the whole time calling him "cuteness". Maybe she does that to every kid, but it sure made me feel good. She said he was doing great, and was impressed that he knows most of his body parts already. He took his shots like a champ and only cried for a few seconds after it was over with. Now we're just crossing our fingers that he doesn't have the horrible reaction that Rylie had to the MMR with a crazy high fever and a bad rash!

He is such a fun kid! Well, most of the time...remember I mentioned that the terrible twos have started. He is definitely a "do-er" and he is all over the place. He is fearless and will climb on anything he can. He loves to play at the park and climb around on all of the equipment.

He seems really smart too! When he picks up a toy, he always has to inspect it and try to figure it out. He isn't talking yet, other than his few favorite words such as "backpack", "all done" and "Do Do Do Do" (Dora). He understands everything you tell him, though. And like I mentioned, he knows most of his body parts. His new favorite thing to do is throw things in the garbage...including his sister's shoes. Man she was NOT happy about that one!

The tantrums sure have started, though. If he doesn't get his way, he will throw himself down on the floor and scream. Of course it takes everything I have not to laugh at him sometimes. He has decided in recent days that he hates his high chair and does his best to climb out of it. When we tell him to sit down, he throws himself down and screams. I think it's time for a booster seat.

Overall, Bryce is such a happy little boy, and has the greatest personality. He gives kisses and hugs and I love to be on the receiving end of them! My little boy is growing up!

Such a cutie!!! It's kind of bittersweet. You love to see them grow up, but you want to keep them little forever!

Too cute! I have a little cousin just around the same age as your little guy and he does the same thing. He loves tractors and tires and always touches everything on it, trying to figure it out. He says tractor, mom, dad, no, yes. It's really great.

How fast they grow. Well he definitely is cute that is for sure. Ericka never did the tantrum thing I think because as a third child if she did I would just walk away from her.

Wow, Bryce and I have a LOT in common - I didn't realize we were so similar in age! I'm a "do-er," too - and when I don't get my way, watch out!

No, he is abnormally CUTE! I don't think the Dr. says that about every kid :) We put Chloe in a booster about this age, and now at 20 months she wants to sit at the table like everyone else, only we have a high top table (totally not safe)!

Bryce is a cutie...you know that. I think parents do know if there kid is not cute, they just would never admit it...LOL! Ah, yes, the terrible two's are have started here as well. I just remember that it is a phase and it too shall pass :)
