My Best Fish Friend {Review}

My BFF

I want to introduce you all to My BFF. This is the coolest science play kit! As soon as I heard about My BFF, I knew I wanted to get one of these kits for Rylie.

Through high-tech biological science, rare fish embryos are contained within a special little miracle pouch ready to be hatched and begin their growing process while you watch and observe.

This is so much more fun than going to the store and buying a goldfish. You actually get to grow your own fish at home! Not only is this fun, it is a great educational experience for kids too.

My BFF are real fish. The scientific name is Nothobranchius Korthausae, and originate from South Africa or South American regions. The My BFF miracle pouch can produce up to 8 fish, or even more.

The My BFF set includes the Miracle Fish Pouch, One-Month Supply of Brine Shrimp Food, Brine Shrimp Food Containers, Magnifying Glass, Food Siphon, Measuring Spoon and Breeding Manual. You will also need a transparent container that will hold 8 to 12 ounces of water, 8 to 12 ounces of fresh clean water (bottled water is preferred) and non-iodized salt.

The first step is to prepare the fish food. The My BFF Fish Food is live brine shrimp and can take up to 48 hours to hatch. You just add fresh clean water to the two food containers, add the salt with the provided spoon, and place a pinch of the fish food into each salt water container.

The next step is to hatch My BFF. Submerge the My BFF miracle pouch in 8 to 12 ounces of clean fresh water.

This step has to be done very carefully, so Rylie waited for Daddy to gently place the pouch into the water and then she held the string until it was time for Daddy to carefully open the pouch.

After the pouch soaks for a few minutes, open the top of the pouch and carefully empty the contents into the water. It can take up to three days to see how many fish have hatched. So until then, we wait...

Stay tuned for a post in two weeks about how our fish are doing. I will also be posting a giveaway for one of these fun kits at that time. Rylie is so excited to see her fish grow, and I hope you will check back in to see how this worked for us!

Disclaimer: This is my honest opinion. I received My BFF at no cost for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received.
