The Halloween festivities started on Friday for Rylie. Her class had a pajama party at school. When I picked her up, she came out with a grocery bag full of candy! Yes, a brown paper grocery bag. There are 16 kids in her class and each child was supposed to bring something for Trick-or-Treating. So between everything the kids brought, and the stuff her teachers gave her, she had more than enough candy already! She also had a little pumpkin that she decorated at school. I know she had a fun day!
On Saturday we went to a Halloween party at Tiffany's house. Tiffany always throws the best parties! Everything is always set up so nice and she always has fun stuff for the kids to do. She had yummy food for everyone to eat, including another candy bar and a massive desert table! The kids decorated a pumpkin, took turns smacking the pinata, and played a "pin-the-nose-on-something" game. (I was changing a diaper at the time and missed that entirely.) And of course all of the kids had fun trashing Payten and Camryn's play room!
I have found it more difficult lately to take pictures since Bryce is constantly on the move. He was left unattended for like two seconds and when I went back around the corner he was up on the fifth step of their staircase just standing there! Stinker. I did manage to get a few pictures, though. You can check out Tiffany's post to see how nice everything was decorated. I seem to always forget to take pictures of all of that. So here we go...
Here are the kids right after they changed into their costumes. Rylie was supposed to be a fairy, but she refused to wear the wings. So she ended up being "pretty purple girl" instead. And for those who didn't see my sneak peak at Bryce's costume, I'm sure you can tell what he is.
The kids all sat and decorated their pumpkins first. Tiffany thought it would be a great idea to give them glitter glue to use. Hahaha. I'm sure Rylie's wasn't the only costume that had extra glitter on it.
Like I said, the kids had a great time trashing the play room! Bryce enjoyed riding the horse and playing in the kitchen with Buzz.
Pinata time! The girls all got to go first because most of the boys tried to kill the thing!
Sean finally just had to rip the pinata open and dump it out. You can see the mad rush to scoop the candy up. I was pretty surprised because Rylie picked her pieces up one by one. She was pretty particular about what she was putting in her basket. I'm always guaranteed to get a picture of her smiling if she has candy!
The party really was a lot of fun! Thank you Hogan family for having all of that craziness in your home!
Stay tuned for Part 2 on Thursday...
