I have big news! Bryce is starting to say some words!
A couple weeks ago he started saying "Duh" (done) when he finished his dinner. It is so cute, too, because he always holds his hands out and up when he says it. So I guess that is "technically" his first word. He's been saying "mama" and "dada" for months now, but he doesn't really say them to us.
And then last Saturday we were getting ready to go run some errands and I asked him if he wanted to go bye bye. I keep their school backpacks on the dining room table and when we walked through the dining room he pointed to his backpack and said "ba pa". He kept saying it until I put it on his back. Yes, the backpack went with us. And now most mornings he says "ba pa" when he sees that we're getting ready to leave for school.
He is such a little imitator lately too. Last Friday night we were at Outback eating dinner. He had a cheeseburger that was covered in ketchup. I'm sure you know by now that he is a little piggy and will eat just about anything, but he really likes ketchup on his food these days and if he sees the ketchup he will point at it and say "ma" until you cover his food with it. Anyway, when I was done eating I picked my napkin up off my lap and wiped my mouth with it. Bryce then picked up his shirt and wiped his face. It was hilarious! Too bad he had a white shirt on and his face was covered with ketchup! Surprisingly, ketchup doesn't stain like I thought it would, thank goodness.
His newest fascination these days is the remote control. We were just talking tonight about how we need to hide them from him. He is so cute when he gets it. He points it right at the TV and pushes buttons. We usually give him the DVD remote, because he can't do too much damage with that one. Haha.
He's such a fun little kid, and his personality is really starting to show. He loves for us to chase him around the house and laughs hysterically as he is running from us. He loves to dance, too. All you have to do is clap your hands and he starts dancing. I'll have to try and catch his "moves" on video one of these days.
So many people get sad when their babies grow up, but honestly, I love it. I think it just gets more fun as they start talking and become more independent. Now, if I could just get him out of diapers...

Time really does go by so fast. I know we are always pushing our kids to do the 'next thing' but we really need to enjoy them when they are still little (I should take my own advice..LOL). He looks so cute sitting on his couch. Anthony is in to the remote thing too :)
eeek! I love this. I do. I really am looking forward to Lovie doing more and her personality shining brighter. She'll always be my baby though. s/o imitating, Lovie's been doing more and more of this and it just cracks me up SO. last night for example, she was sooo tired in her bath and just sat there (i thought she might be pooping or something but thankfully not). to get her more active, put her ducky in my mouth the way she normally does and sucked on its head while humming. ha. i rinsed it off and gave it to her and she smiled. then i took it back and repeated and gave it back and she did the same. it was cuter and funnier in person, i swear!
Yay! I love the remote control, too - and I find feature that my parents didn't even know we had. Seriously, picture in picture? I found it! Mommy always gives me the DVD remote, too.
aww, i love moments like these. kids realli do grow up too fast! omg, babies dancing is just too cute!
Oh how fun! I really enjoyed reading this post! :D Way to go Bryce!
He is so precious!!I love his little "cars" couch!!
Sounds like a man in the making. The boys are always fighting over the remote and Christopher is a ketchup-a-holic he puts it on everything.
So Cute! It's sad watching them morph from babies to kids, but at the same time, it's so amazing. Chloe experienced a vocab explosion around 18 months...I can't even count how many words she has. I'm enjoying this phase...you know, until they start using words against you. LOL.
He is soo adorable! I love their words and when they are trying to talk! We do the same thing with the remote :)
Ahh so cute! I love that picture. My little one is pretty 'ouch at the same stage and it's so fun!
Goodness...he is too cute!
