David's Cookie Play Dough {Review}

David's Cookies

One of Rylie's favorite things to do lately is play with Play-Doh, so when I came across the Cookie Play Dough from David's Cookies, I knew she would have so much fun with it. Not only can she make her own little play dough creations, now she can eat them too!

David's Cookie Play Dough

We received one box of the Cookie Play Dough for review. The box included four 12-oz tubs of colored sugar cookie dough. Even the names of the colors are fun!

It may look like there are only four bright colors in your Play Cookie Dough... but if you mix some of them together you get all the colors of the rainbow! You can create almost any color imaginable by simply mixing two or more colors together.
ORANGE = Mostly Mellow Mood Yellow a little Red All Over
BROWN = Too Blue 4 You Red All Over a little Mellow Mood Yellow
BLACK = Jelly Bean Green Too Blue 4 You
PURPLE = Too Blue 4 You some Red All Over
Or, you can buy a tub of David’s Sugar Cookie Dough and mix it with any of the colors to get pastel colors like Rose Pink, Sky Blue or Lilac.

We all couldn't wait to get started making our fun cookies! We took half of each color dough out of the tubs (you get a LOT of cookie dough) and covered the table with waxed paper. Rylie immediately grabbed a couple different colored chunks of dough and started mixing them together, just like she does with Play-Doh.

Brian, on the other hand, went to work trying to make the little smiley face that was on the box. He actually made a really cute cookie.

Rylie had a lot of fun making a hand print cookie, and then cut it in half with a plastic knife so that it would be a "finger cookie".

Once we got a whole tray of cookies ready in different shapes and colors, we put them in the oven to bake. Here are the before-baking and after-baking pictures of our cookies...

They baked up really nice and kept the colors well. And now for the best part...

...eating them! YUM! Not only were these cookies fun to make, they tasted really good too! These were certainly the most fun cookies we have ever had. I highly recommend the Cookie Play Dough for a deliciously fun afternoon for your family!

You can purchase the Cookie Play Dough from David's Cookies for $44.95 for two sets. That is over 6 pounds of cookie dough! The dough can be kept frozen for 6 months, or refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.

There are so many other yummy offerings by David's Cookies too! You can buy fresh-baked cookies, brownies & crumbcakes, and even cheesecakes. The next time you need to send someone a gift, consider sending them one of David's yummy Gift Baskets. Everyone deserves a sweet treat for their birthday, anniversary or other special occasion. You can also join one of David's Monthly Clubs to receive a different variety of cookie, brownie or other special treat each month.

Disclaimer: This is my honest opinion. We received one set of Cookie Play Dough at no cost for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received.

That looks AWESOME! What a great rainy day activity - or something to do with Daddy on his first snow day this winter!
