Pumpkin Patch - Take 1

A couple weekends ago we met up with my great friend Andrea and her family at a local pumpkin patch. Andrea is an awesome photographer, and I wanted to get some pictures of the kids in their Halloween costumes so that I could make Halloween cards. Things didn't go quite as I had planned, though. That happens a lot around here, but I'm getting used to it and I have finally just learned to roll with it.

I was kind of dreading the whole costume thing on the way there. Rylie was complaining about hers because there was elastic in it, and if you know Rylie, you know how picky she is about the way her clothes fit. Also, Bryce's costume is long sleeved and it was pretty hot that day. So when we got there I decided to scrap the whole costume thing and just let the kids play.

I was irritated that Rylie's hair was up in a ponytail, and after the wind blew a few times it was everywhere. I also didn't like the fact that they didn't have their costumes on. Brian and I ended up in some pictures and we weren't really dressed for the occasion. At least the kids had Halloween shirts on. Oh, and of course Rylie wouldn't smile when we wanted her to.

BUT...I ended up really liking the pictures! They are all natural and not posed. They show my kids goofing off and having fun. Andrea caught some of Rylie's great smiles in pictures where she wasn't asked to smile. And heck, some even made it look like she actually likes her little brother.

Here are some of my favorites. Sorry in advance for the picture overload. :-)

If you're in central Florida and you're looking for a photographer for family pictures, please give Andrea a call. She just started up a new website that is currently under construction, so there isn't much there, but you can get her contact information. She is a fantastic photographer, her prices are reasonable and she is a super sweet person. Check out Andrea Caruso Photography for details.

These are awesome! I love candid photos! I think photos are more memorable when they aren't posed, when it's just kids being kids. She did a really great job!
