A few months ago I was going to get a pedicure and decided to take Rylie with me. While we were there she asked to get her toenails painted. I don't know who was more excited about it, Rylie or me! She sat so still the whole time and was so excited to come home and show Daddy her pretty pink toenails. My excitement wore off some, though, when I started thinking about the chemicals that were now on her toes, and worse, the chemicals we would have to use to take it off. I jumped online to find a product that was safe for kids and found Piggy Paint!
Piggy Paint is a natural, eco-friendly nail polish designed for fancy girls. Its non-toxic, hypoallergenic formula makes it safe to use on all piggies. Piggy Paint dries to a hard, durable finish that can easily be removed with our eco-friendly, low odor Piggy Paint nail polish remover. Both are made in the USA!
Piggy Paint was developed after Melanie Hurley was painting nails with her daughter, and her daughter dropped some paint on a foam plate. She watched as the paint eventually "ate" through the plate and decided that any substance that could eat through foam, was unacceptable to put on her child's fingernails.
After I read Melanie's story, I agreed with her and decided that Rylie would not have her nails painted again with traditional polish. We have used Piggy Paint ever since!
Piggy Paint comes in several fun colors. You can purchase the bottles of polish individually, or in adorably packaged gift sets. Some of the gift sets come with three bottles of polish, and others come with a bottle of polish remover and two bottles of polish. A gift set that would be great for the upcoming holiday season is Mistle Toes!
Another great gift set is the Fight Breast Cancer Pack. It contains two polishes in a cute pink pail, and 10% of sales go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Piggy Paint also has a line called "Project Earth", that is specially formulated for tweens concerned about Mother Earth. T-Shirts are available to show your support for this great company, and Gift certificates are also available for purchase.

We were sent a bottle of the Forever Fancy polish and a bottle of Nail Polish Remover to review. The color of the polish is such a pretty pink! The first thing I noticed when I opened the bottle of polish is that you aren't overwhelmed by a chemical smell, and the same goes for the polish remover. We followed the directions for use and started off by washing our hands with soap and water. I then applied one coat of the polish to Rylie's fingernails and toenails. The directions actually state to apply 2-3 coats, but one coat was all Rylie wanted to sit still for. Even with the one coat it still covered very well and looked great. We let it air dry for 60 seconds, and then I blew it dry with the hair dryer set on a low heat setting. It dries very quickly!
Rylie was so proud of her pretty pink nails!
The polish stayed on her nails very well, even with only one coat. I know that if we had done the recommended 2-3 coats, it would have lasted much longer. The nail polish remover works well to take it off. You do have to rub it a little bit, but it works great considering there are no harsh chemicals in it like regular polish remover.
I think Piggy Paint is a great product, and it will be the only product that is used on my little girl's nails!
