Bryce's First Haircut

This past Saturday we took Bryce to get his first haircut! His hair was starting to stick out behind his ears on the sides and was getting a little long in the back. I am of the "boys should have short hair" camp, so it was time for a trim.

We go to this really neat place called Cool Cuts 4 Kids. There is a little play area with a TV for the little kids, and video game centers for the big kids, for while you wait. When it is your turn, your little one gets to sit in a cool car or a pretty princess station while they get their hair cut. There are DVD players at each station so they can watch movies while they get their hair cut too.

So here is Bryce testing out one of the cars while Rylie got her hair cut. (She's a pro now, and doesn't mind it a bit, unlike her first haircut.) You can see how long his hair was getting on the sides.

When she first got started, he didn't care much for her messing with him. As soon as she started spraying his hair with the water bottle, he started crying.

The crying didn't last very long, though. I was surprised.

Oh wait, Dora is on? Maybe this isn't so bad after all!

OK, I'll admit it, this is pretty fun.

Oh crap, no it isn't. It isn't fun AT ALL! What in the heck is THAT?!?!?! Mommy help me!

Once the clippers were turned off he decided it was OK again. Look at his new do...

Isn't he handsome?

LOVE his haircut, and I've been wondering for months about a good place to cut my daughter's hair. We will be trying this place out VERY shortly!

OMG...he looks so freakin' cute! We go to a place just like this. It is literally the only place my kids will get their hair cut. I think Bryce did pretty good for his first time. Hopefully he is not like my kids...Christopher just stopped crying this year..LOL!

So handsome! He handled that like a champ. Did you save a loch of his hair?

I have to admit that we are seriously jealous over here...Chloe is still working on growing some hair - she won't need a cut until she's 3 probably!

Why is it that the heartbroken crying faces always make me laugh the most??

Glad he survived his first haircut! Wish we had cool places like that out here in the sticks! Then again, Mason will probably be joining Carol's Chloe and having his first haircut when he's about 3 at this rate LOL

He looks so proud of his new 'do!
