Our washer and dryer constantly run. I do at least one load of laundry every night, and it is truly never ending on the weekends. Tonight I had to do Rylie's and Bryce's laundry. It takes forever to do theirs because of all of the pre-treating I have to do. Luckily Rylie is pretty good about getting most of her food in her mouth, but Bryce is a whole different story. I finally found a combination that gets out most stains. I pre-treat with Totally Toddler
Unfortunately, my great combination doesn't get out the stains left by the kids' favorite foods, which are spaghetti and watermelon. I have tried everything! I have tried the combination above, Zout, Oxy Clean, color safe bleach, and even Windex after my hair dresser told me it gets hair dye out of clothes. Nothing works.
Help! Is there some secret stain remover out there that I don't know about? Please tell me what you use to battle these pesky stains. Thanks!

Maybe TMI here - but when my daughter has blowouts in her diaper, we soak her clothes in oxyclean for almost 12-24 hours!! I just drop the clothes in a little bucket with the oxyclean to get rid of the stain and it actually works. Have you tried doing it for that long??
Angelica eats shirtless unless she's wearing a dark shirt when she's eating a high-stain-risk food :)
Lol, I also go the shirtless route when feeding those high stain risk foods.(I am referring to M, not me ;)) I know you're not a fan of that though. I also still put a bib on him in public if he is wearing a light color and eating something that will stain. I like the vinyl bibs that have sleeves.(poor kid, lol)
When I am dealing with stains, I use a spray and wash stain stick. It is inexpensive and I have always had good luck with it.
Who knew watermelon water would be one of the worst stains?!?
My daughter is pretty clean for a toddler, but I still make her wear a long bib for messy meals.
Would Rylie be amused by "coloring" stains after dinner with a Tide To Go stick? Or would that encourage spillage so she can "color" her clothes? ;)

We really were like-minded yesterday. I say this because I was cursing a stain on one of Chloe's white gymboree shirts last night....it was watermelon and ketchup! Yes, we dunk watermelon in ketchup....they totally go together. Anyway, I tried the Oxyclean spray, left it on for 24 hours and it's still there! Grrr. I'm afraid it will never come out now. I might have to use bleach and just pray it doesn't damage the embroidary...
Wish I had a tip, but I'm in the same boat.
Hi LeeAnn, you're my most faithful commenter. Friendly Friday wouldn't be the same without hearing from you. :)
Hope you and your family have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
