Bryce had such a great party! We had well over 50 people that came from as far as Alabama to celebrate with us. That little boy is so loved! We had the party at a local park that has a huge, shaded play area with jungle gyms and swings, a smaller play area for the real little ones, and a splash pad. Of course we had to get a bounce house too. There were plenty of activities for the kids, and I think they all had a great time!
I am really irritated at the pictures I took, or should I say, didn't take. I was so busy trying to play hostess and trying to talk with everyone that I didn't get many opportunities to take pictures. I didn't get a lot of pictures of the kids playing, of our guests, or the party details. I always say I have to remember to do those things, and then it never happens. So if any of you that were there have good pictures, please feel free to send them my way.
I did get pictures of the birthday boy, and that is what really matters, right? :-) It was hard to pick a few favorites, but I managed. If you would like to see all of them, you can check out our Picasa site.
We went with a Zoo theme for the party. Here are a couple of the 43 balloons we had out at the park.
Rylie and the older kids had so much fun in the bounce house!

Uncle David was the grill master.

The kids enjoyed the splash pad. It was so hot out there, I think a couple of the adults may have enjoyed it too!

Lunch time!

Bryce's yummy cake!

By the time we were ready for cake, Bryce was ready for a nap. He was covered with watermelon and sweaty as can be. I was wondering if he was just going to pass out in his cake.

Let the cake fun begin!

Do you ever notice how kids' eyes glaze over while they're devouring cake? I don't think I have ever been to a first birthday party where this didn't happen.

Ahhhh, that was good!

Once we got most of the icing out of Bryce's nose, ears and hair, we decided that he needed to cool off some and get refreshed. Off to the splash pad he went!

Yes, he is just in a swim diaper. His bathing suit never got taken out of the bag. Sigh.
Rylie came over to join her brother for some splashing fun.

Presents! We tried to get a picture of Bryce with all of his gifts, but he kept getting up.

And just for fun, here are a couple of cute videos for you...
Typical boy, right? Goes straight for the race car. (I have no idea why I kept calling that a truck.)
Thank you again to everyone that came out to celebrate Bryce's birthday with us! We hope everyone had a great time!

So cute! Love those cake pics!!
What a great park! And woah!! that's a lot of presents. My little girl is 1 on Friday and I just cannot believe it!
You have more pictures than I have! I'm still shooting myself in the foot for not taking more pictures. I, too, was too busy playing hostess or making sure Babygirl was taken care of.
What a fun party!!! Looks like everyone had a blast. I love the cake pictures!! And seriously... Bryce is sooooo cute!! He is so adorable in those videos!! What a wonderful little man he is. :o)
Oh my gosh, what adorable cake pictures! It looks like everyone had a great time! Can't wait to watch the videos when I'm not at work! And holy haul on the presents!! He's gonna be a busy little boy!
It is hard to get good photos when you host a party. Maybe Andrea and Tiffany will have some for you.
The ones you have are great. I love the ones in the splash pad.
Will come back to watch the videos. Can't do that now as I'm working, well I'm suppose to be.
It was such a great party!! I'll get you some more pictures tonight or tomorrow...it's been a busy busy weekend/week for us so far! :)
Cute! I love the "cake hangover" look!
BTW, I got my Tag A Long yesterday and the babe has approved! Thanks!
Let me get this straight - not only do you have that fabulous backyard, but you have that great park near you, too? AND you live near Disney World? Sigh. Completely jealous.
Mommy feels like she doesn't have nearly enough pics of my birthday party either - and I was *just* waking up from a nap when it was cake time, so I look a little bleary, too. LOVE the custom shirt!
Oh my total cuteness! I love that last video. Looks like he had a blast! Thanks for sharing.
Holy cow that's a lot of gifts! The party looks like it was a blast! Good for Bryce for really digging in to the cake. It's so much more fun when they like it vs. stare at it and cry (Chloe)!
We are so getting a bounce house next year! Looks like so much fun! Happy first to your lil' man!
Looks like a great time!! I love the last cake photo the best. LOL, it looks like Bryce is in a sugar coma!! Loved the videos too! :)
Holy geez, I'm not letting my kids see that gift mountain, they'd never let me live it down! The party looks like it was a blast, although I'm not sure if Bryce ended up eating or wearing more cake...
That last video is the funniest thing I've seen in a while. Not only is his laugh friggin' adorable but then at the very end where he's coming... coming... oops! Hahahahahaha!
It looks like everyone had a great time. What a great idea to have the party in the park...no mess in your house and probably less expensive that a restaurant or hall. I love the cake pics. There is one pic where he looks like he just want to sleep :) Did you make room for all of those toys?
Looks like a great party. I love the cake pics. And wow...what a lot of gifts!!
