Weekend Review - Cleanwater Infant Tub & Giveaway!

When we were registering for our baby shower when I was pregnant with Rylie we were overwhelmed with information. It was so hard to figure out which products to get. What has the best ratings? What will work well for us?

When we came to the bathtub aisle, we pretty much figured all bathtubs were the same and it would be a matter of just picking a cute one. Then I saw the Cleanwater Infant Tub. One look at the box was all I needed to know that was the tub for us.

This tub made by 4moms is the best tub! First of all, it has a built in digital thermometer, so you will always know what temperature the water is. It even changes color if it is too cold or too hot. You might think you know how warm a baby's bath should be, but when I was a first time mother, I didn't. There was no question for us since we had this tub to tell us when the water was OK.

The other great feature of this tub is that your baby doesn't have to sit in dirty, or soapy, water. Fresh water constantly runs through the tub during the bath. You put the faucet over the reservoir (at the left of the picture) and that will fill up and run into the bath. The bath has holes on the sides to let the water flow out. This is great if you have babies that like to pee in the tub like I do!

According to the 4moms website, the tub can be used from birth to six months, or until the child starts sitting up. The weight limit is 25 pounds. It fits in single and double basin sinks and has different drain holes for newborns and infants. (I had a friend that also used it in her bathtub.)

We ended up receiving the tub as a gift for Rylie's baby shower. Here I am attempting to give her a bath. I had no clue what I was doing!

When Rylie moved up to the big tub, I didn't really like the idea of a bath tub sitting around for a year or so, and then being used again, so we got rid of it. When I got pregnant with Bryce, we bought another one.



I think that picture is the last bath he had in that tub since he was sitting on his own and was ready to move to the big tub with his sister.

I did have one problem with the tub. The thermometer on Bryce's tub stopped working. I think Bryce just liked to splash around a little too much, which caused the thermometer to get wet inside the casing. I emailed 4moms and within an hour I received a response. They immediately shipped me another thermometer. I was so impressed with their customer service. They really stand by their products and I am still a very happy customer.

This is one of those products that I always recommend to my pregnant friends. I know several people that have this tub, and they have all been happy with it.
