Last Sunday we were all hanging out in the pool with our friend Spencer. Well Rylie's bladder must be the size of a marble because when we swim she has to pee like every 5 minutes. We told her not to pee in the pool, but I am not going to run in the house a gazillion times, so we told her to just go in the grass. I guess she got sick of running out into the grass after a few times because at one point she just hopped out of the pool, pulled her bathing suit bottoms off and proceeded to pee on the deck. Brian and I didn't think much about it, because come on, she's two, but Spencer couldn't believe it! He was cracking up! He would just play with Bryce or whatever he could do to avoid looking at her. Rylie's friend Cole came over a little bit later and she did that again. Spencer thought that was even funnier. Ahhhh, so much for modesty with her, right?
And speaking of peeing all over the place... (I'm starting to think that these Sunday funnies may involve pee stories for a little while.)
On Tuesday when we were getting ready to leave daycare Rylie told me she had to pee. Her teacher said she just went, but she ran in the bathroom. She went into the bathroom that has the higher toilets for the older kids. Now, I don't know if she couldn't get on the toilet fast enough, or if her brother was getting too much attention and she needed some for herself, but I looked over and she was standing there with her shorts down, peeing all over the place! It was all over her shoes and everything. Ugh. I guess it is better that it happened at daycare where she has a change of clothes, and not all over my truck! And yeah, I guess that wasn't really a "funny" story, but at least I can look back and laugh.
Brian had to stop by daycare to drop something off the other day and he peeked in on Rylie. She was in the bathroom standing in front of another kid that was on the potty and said "You have Dora underwear like me?" LOL
And since there were a few "pee" funnies, there might as well be one about poop too...
Friday night we went out to eat. She said she had to poop. As much as I HATE taking her in nasty public restrooms, I can't expect her to hold it if she really has to go. So we went. And she pooped. We washed hands and headed back out into the restaurant. She started running towards Brian and was announcing "Daddy! I went poopie in the potty!" Luckily it wasn't a fancy restaurant and most of the people that were in there had kids with them. I guess when you're a parent, things like that are more funny than they are annoying. :-)
Saturday we spent the morning in the pool. Rylie wanted to put her bathing
suit on the second she got up. So Brian and Rylie went out first and he was putting sunscreen on her. He had taken the dogs out and he thought they were in the yard. All of the sudden Rylie says "Daddy! Cosmo's in the pool!" And once Cosmo got in, Chloe followed. Needless to say, the dogs had a fun morning too...

And since it is literally impossible to get a picture of two dogs and two kids all together with only one adult in the pool, here is a cute picture of Bryce for your viewing pleasure...

And in other news...
Brian got a new job! He wasn't looking, but an opportunity presented itself and he took it. It comes with a higher paycheck and is closer to home, so that is good. The only drawback is that he can't wear shorts anymore. Bummer!
The Picasa site has been updated through May! Take a look at all of the newest pictures of my little cuties.
You'll notice that the blog looks a little different. The right sidebar was getting too cluttered so I wanted to move things around a bit. What do you think? I realize that my blog is pretty plain, but I like it like that. I'm all about structure and order. I may try to fancy it up a little bit so it isn't so boring, but this is it for now. Of course I have to give Brian the credit for doing everything. He does all of the "work" around here...I just entertain. :-)
I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

It's funny, before we had kids and we just had our dog, my husband and I used to wonder if we would talk about something other than dog poop all the time. Now that we have kids, we realize that we still talk about poop all the time - just not the dog's.
By the way, I'm loving the new look (good job, Brian)! I'm all about simple blog designs, there's nothing worse than showing up to try to read and getting a headache from the crazy background. Plus, fun new header picture! Woohoo! :)
I love the new layout and simple suits you! I've had issues with my 4 year old not making it to the potty for poopie in time....ew. So, I'd take missing the potty with pee over that any day! Why do they wait so long to say "I've got to go potty!"??? Cam will even say, "This isn't my pee pee dance, it's just my ballarina dance" even though I know it's the pee pee dance.
