McFatty Monday - Week 6

I am SO close to that 10 pound milestone! I actually hit it last week, but then the weekend came. I do so well during the week with my calorie intake, and then I seem to blow it on the weekends. It is hard, though. We are always non-stop on the weekends. Between play dates, birthday parties and showers, we are rarely home for a meal. And it’s not like I’m going to show up at a birthday party with my own lunch.

Happy Birthday! I hope you all are enjoying your delicious food while I unpack my lunch box and eat my grilled chicken salad. Cake? No way! That’s too fattening. I’ll just nibble on my 100 calorie pack of Teddy Grahams.

Yeah right.

I’m still trying, though. And I’ll get there. Slowly but surely. And maybe now that the anniversary-birthday-Mother’s Day trifecta is over, I can do better on the weekends. No wait. We’re going to Melting Pot for a friend’s birthday this weekend. Sigh.

I am still walking every day. Dee and I have had to move our daily walks to the morning in fear of heat exhaustion. It was definitely better coming back to my office today without being totally drenched in sweat. I will miss our afternoon walks, though. It was a great way to get over that afternoon slump I fall into.

I know what you mean! Our weekends are so crazy busy too and we rarely eat at home during those two days. Definitely not good for the diet!
