D-Listed Blog Party 2010

Now it is time to have some fun! I recently joined D-Listed Mom Blogs. It is “a place for lesser known Mom Bloggers to unite and support one another.” There are 5 featured blogs each day. I was featured last week! I have found a lot of great ladies over there already, and I look forward to meeting more. This week is the D-Listed Blog Party! So if you’re not already on the D-List, get over there and link up!

Welcome to my blog! Whether this is your first visit or your 20th, I hope you enjoy it here. I originally started this blog a few months ago for friends and family to keep up with us. And that is what this blog is still for. But by creating this blog, I entered an online community of some really fabulous women. I have “met” some great ladies through blogging, won some giveaways, got some great parenting advice, heard about products I didn’t know about, and so much more. I have been having so much fun these past few months! And without further ado, here is a little about me…

My name is LeeAnn. In April of 2007 I married Brian, who has been the love of my life since 1999. Shortly after we got back from our awesome honeymoon in Costa Rica, we discovered that I was pregnant. We are pretty sure that Rylie is our “wedding night baby”. We had planned to have kids, but I was diagnosed with PCOS years ago and thought I would need medical help to get pregnant, so we were pleasantly surprised when we saw the + sign. Rylie was born in January of 2008, and the day before her first birthday we found out that I was pregnant with Bryce. The last three years have been a whirlwind, and we are loving every minute of it! We are having so much fun figuring this parenting stuff out.

We live outside of Orlando, and along with two kids we have two golden retrievers and two cats. I am an accountant and Brian is a software developer. We both work full time, so Rylie and Bryce go to daycare and it has been great for them for the most part. Our lives are pretty hectic and we are always running. I have gotten over a lot of my OCD in favor of fun weekends, so my house usually looks like a tornado came through it. Every room is a playroom and right now I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Rylie is almost 2 ½ and is an energetic, spirited, smart, loveable, hilarious toddler. Oh, and she’s pretty darn gorgeous too. She makes us laugh on a daily basis, and amazes us with everything she learns. She loves to be outside and doesn’t like to sit still. Her favorite food is waffles with peanut butter and syrup. Her favorite color changes on a daily basis, but I think purple is the one she likes the most. She is “Miss Popularity” at school and is loved by everyone, but Mommy is her best friend (and always will be). The “terrible twos” haven’t been horrible for us, but she definitely has her moments.

Bryce is 8 months old. He is a sweet, loveable, laid-back little guy. He is always happy and smiling. The poor kid has been sick a lot since starting daycare, but even on his worst days, you really wouldn’t even know that there was anything wrong with him. He is just that good of a baby. He is a chunky little guy and his hair is always sticking out in multiple directions, and I think he is adorable. He loves to eat and there isn’t anything he doesn’t like. He likes to cuddle and be tickled, and he even loves my singing!

As you can imagine, there are plenty of days when I want to pull my hair out. Having one kid isn’t easy, and having a toddler and a baby at the same time is definitely challenging. But when those two little ones smile at me, all of the frustration goes away and I can’t imagine my life any other way!

Thanks again for visiting. I hope you’ll be back!

Hey party girl! I missed visiting the D-List last week because work and home got out of hand. Now I'm racing to catch up. Sorry I missed your big featured week!

How far apart exactly are your little ones? They sound really close to mine. My daughter is 20 months older than my son. I found out I was pregnant with him 14 days before her first birthday. My little dude just turned 1! That was a fast and furious year, I tell you what.

Pleasure to meet you and thanks again for visiting Heligirl. I'm following you now so we can compare notes on our littel ones. :-)

Hi there, I'm visiting you back for the wonderous blog hop party! Having two kids is awesome, and oh my god it's tiring. But I wouldn't have it any other way. It's great to meet someone else that feels the same :)

Stopping by for a visit from D-List. Hope you're enjoying the party!

I'm your newest follower and wanna know why? My daughter is almost 9 months old and I technically work outside the home. I have met some great moms through this blog, but it's always nice to hear there are moms out there who work too. It's hard to leave your little one at daycare sometimes... or at least it is for me. I hope you can relate. It's taking a lot of adjustment (for me and for my daughter) to get used to daycare. She does good for the most part, but it's hard sometimes.

Wow... that's a lot for a "first impression" post. I'm not that scary, I promise! :o) You have a beautiful family and I look forward in getting to know you better and reading future posts!

Popping in from the party...

Our kids are close in age; my daughter turned 2 in February and my son will be 9 months next week. I get the wanting to pull your hair out.. I actually HAVE pulled some out. The baby never sleeps and DD puts the Terrible in the 2's so I'll just blame them for the bald spot. At least it'll give me something to guilt trip them about later in life, right?

Following now and looking forward to reading more! :)

Hello. Following you from d-list. Your kids are so cute and I LOVE their names. I have 4 kids (one of them is my step daughter, but she still counts!) and they all have gone to day care. It seems that they got EVERYTHING that first year but (knock on wood) now it seems to have paid off because they have iron clad immune systems! I have a friend that has PCOS, it sounds like it can be trying at times. Glad I found you, have a great day.

Hello fellow Floridian. Sorry I didn't make it by during the official blog party last week, but I'm glad to have found you, just the same :) Love to know how you kicked the OCD to the curb and learned to relax and enjoy life more. I'm having a lot of trouble with that and I only have one child (so far and maybe for good).
