I figured I would at least make the title of this post positive. I think this needs to be marked down in the history books or something, because Rylie is the healthiest one in the house right now. The sickies even got Brian this time!
Bryce seems to be doing a little bit better. We have been giving him his breathing treatments every 4 hours, except when he is sleeping, and they seem to be helping. Yesterday he was barely wheezing. We went to the doctor last Friday and he was still wheezing pretty bad so she upped his dose of Prednisolone and said to continue with the breathing treatments. His ears were still full of thick fluid, but she wanted to give the Omnicef a few more days to work. She said to follow up at the end of this week and if his ears were still bad he would have to have the Rocephin shots. I have my fingers crossed that his ears will be clear!
The kid is still happy! As sick as he has been, he has remained happy through it all. And I don’t know if it is because he feels better, or if hyperactivity is a side effect of one of his medications, but he is all over the place! He kicks and punches the whole time he is drinking his bottles or eating (which he loves to do, by the way). He gets in the jumperoo and the exersaucer and goes absolutely nuts. He seems to be following in his sister’s footsteps with the high energy. Great.
Brian and I have both been feeling pretty miserable too. We’re both congested with sore throats. Brian now has pink eye too. Lovely.
Rylie, on the other hand, seems to be feeling great! We did manage to get to the park twice this weekend, just to get her out of the house for some play time. I’ll try to get some pictures up tomorrow.
Between Bryce’s bottles and his breathing treatments, we didn’t have too much time for anything this weekend. And to top it all off, the battery in the Armada died and stranded Brian and Rylie at Panera for a little bit. By the time I got there to get them, some nice people had already given him a jump. It is always something around our house.
It is warming up this week! Hopefully the warmer weather will put an end to the sickies so I can get back to blogging about stuff that is much more fun and interesting than this nonsense.
