I am really sick of writing about sickies, and I’m sure you all are sick of reading about it, so I’m changing the subject today. Today I want to talk about my wonderful husband.
He just sent me an email about why he was late for work today. I would copy it in here, but I will save you all the yucky details. Basically, he bleached both of the bathrooms that have been used by the sick people, did a load of pukey and poopie laundry, and hosed out the garbage can after he realized that there had been some leakage. He rocks! I probably would have just thrown my hands up and tried to just put it all out of my mind.
But it is not just today. I am the luckiest woman in the world, and I feel like that every day. Because, my friends, I could not ask for a better husband.
He has been a 50/50 parent since the day Rylie was born. In fact, some days he probably does more of the parenting than I do. He gets the kids mostly ready for school in the morning so that I don’t have to get up any earlier than I already do. He has dinner ready or in process (at least for Rylie) by the time I get home with the kids every day. He bathes and does the nightly routine for one child every night, while I do the other. The weekends are usually a tag-team effort so that we can both get a chore or two done. He has even been doing most of the night time paci duty this past week since Bryce hasn't been sleeping so well.
There are many more reasons on top of his awesome parenting. The big one being – he puts up with me! I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not easy to live with. I know, you all are shocked. ::insert hysterical laughter here:: He doesn’t yell at me *too much* for my shopping habits. He doesn’t sit around all weekend and watch sports. He will pretty much go with the flow and run around with me on the weekends. And at the end of each day, he rubs my feet. It doesn’t get any better than this.
I could keep listing reasons, but I think you get my point.
I love you babe, and I appreciate everything you do!
